“I would love for young creatives to understand how powerful it is to look for inspiration within themselves - from their culture, childhood, or personal life, and create work around it. I believe it is the secret to creating work that really connects with people and communities.”

Audrey d'Erneville, is a Senegalese Art Director and Fine Artist. She was born in Paris but made the world her home. Currently based between Los Angeles and Dakar, she also spent some of her childhood in South Africa, and strives to create work that is as rich and colorful as her cultural background.

With an MFA in graphic design, she has 12+ years of experience working across various industries and have created branding for world renowned clients.

Multi-faceted creative, she has always been inspired by her Senegalese culture: the car rapides, barber shop signs, textiles, the colors of the city…. And it is a desire to create a sort of Senegalese pop art that launched her into the Art World. Her background in graphic design is reflected in the typography and the layout of her paintings.

As a fine artist, she has exhibited paintings and digital pieces in Paris, Lagos, the '22 Dakar Biennale, and had her first solo show in Atlanta in May 2023. Her work has been featured in publications like Vanity Fair, Hypebeast, and Monocle Magazine to name a few.

She is also the founder and artist behind Chez Awa, a lifestyle and apparel brand focused on creating west-African inspired goods, and collaborating with fellow African entrepreneurs and creatives.
